StarCraft II

StarCraft II
A moment eagerly awaited, has finally arrived. StarCraft 2 is finally announced. The roumors have been fierce, the hype have been high and I myself have dreamed of what this game is going to be about.
So, what does this mean?
Let's see if we can break this down to the basics and see what we can expect out of what is announced?
Blizzard has clearly announced that there is not going to be any more races to play around with. What does this really mean?
From my point of wiev it means that Blizzard is going to add real new gameplay, not old gameplay, diguised in a whole new race.
The most exciting news is the details on the protoss units and buildings. Blizzard is clearly adding more complex possibilities on the units and the offencive capabilities built into the new protoss "transporter" really opens up for some really exciting possibilities.
On the visual part, it's clear that we are all gonna get a lot more eyecandy this time around. We can possibly count on Blizzard to not add eyecandy without function. This has been a Blizzard tradition. Rather crude graphics, and great gameplay is better than Really nice graphics, and no gameplay at all.

What do we want from StarCraft 2?
Some, I don't know. I haven't been paying attention to RTS-games lately, but none of them has been REALLY original in the latest.

I'm gonna leave this post a little now. And come back to it. Expect a lot more of my expectations the next time around. But still. Some more on what we won't get.
